We had a great time experiencing Oahu with John. He gave us commentary the whole tour, and we walked away with a lot of knowledge about the island, culture, and plant life. Also included is a professional photo package. Highly recommend this tour!

My mother and I recently took the Private Circle Island Sunset Tour with John (Datesnap Tours), and it exceeded our expectations. John is a knowledgeable tour guide with the perfect blend of cultural, historical, botanical, and birding knowledge. His tour was filled with interesting information and included some of the best views on Oahu. In addition to the private tour, John also took pictures of us with my phone as well as taking professional photos with his camera; he sent the digital images a few days after the tour. John is skilled in selecting the best location for the photos as well as offering suggestions for improving the shot. We had lunch at Giovanni’s Shrimp truck—freshwater garlic shrimp scampi is the iconic meal, but the garlic hotdogs are surprisingly delicious as well! This tour is ideal if you are traveling solo, a couple, or small family and want to tour the island with a private tour guide/photographer and get plenty of group photos to commemorate your vacation. Highly recommended!

A wonderful experience from start to finish. John was a great travel companion for the day, and provided a ton of great information about the island as we traveled around. He knows his stuff! I was spoiled by the fact that I had booked a private tour, so it was just me and John for the entire time. I particularly enjoyed the fact that when we would arrive at a location, he would talk me through what I was about to see, where things were located, etc., but would then largely step back and let me do what I wanted. If I needed more information or guidance he was there, but otherwise he was happy to let me do what I wanted, which was very refreshing and exactly what I was looking for. I'd recommend booking with Datesnap to anyone, and the Circle Island Sunset Tour in particular to those looking for a great overview of Oahu. It was a long day, but allowed me to see a ton of locations I might have otherwise missed, and learn an amazing amount about the island at the same time. Mahalo John!

Our driver/photographer/tour guide was very knowledgeable of the island and Hawaiian history and legends. We saw some great sights and learned much. We have not yet seen the pictures he made of us but expect them to be good. Not a cheap trip but more bang for the buck than other tours. The views were spectacular. John really loves what he does.

My husband & I appreciate John, our tour guide, SO Much! He was extremely knowledgeable, organized & efficient in helping us explore the island. I knew he didn't miss anything, in fact showed us more too see on the island that our own internet research couldn't cover. We were also traveling with a 12 month old so it was extremely family friendly (but again it was just my family, not a large group). I though I'd miss out on a good Hawaii experience with a child, but i was very happy to have come across this tour and would HIGHLY recommend it - after this tour you can feel confident in roaming around in your own car! Oh, and the added photo shoot - what a life saver, sit back and enjoy the island the pictures will fall into place whether you take them with your phone or at the locations selected by your guide (you won't regret it)

John was an excellent tour guide on our private tour of the island. He was very prompt on picking us up at the resort. He shared a wealth of information about the history of the island as well as knowing about the various plants and birds on the island. We spent the entire day sightseeing and discovering many wonderful places around the island. We stopped at Dole pineapple, a fresh fruit market, ate fresh Shrimp Scampi from the famous "Giovanni's Food Truck, sampled macadamia nuts at the farm, and saw many wonderful beaches. The tour ended at a very special place to see a gorgeous sunset to conclude the tour.
