If you want to see some of the sights in San Antonio and the RiverWalk, I highly recommend this package. Some of the hop-on/hop-off buses just used pre-recorded narration, but our first tour guide, J.P., did not. His research of the history behind many of the sights and personal stories of him growing up in San Antonio made the tour so much more interesting. The RiverWalk tour with the Christmas lights aglow was beautiful.

Clean, magical & ever changing scenery. Great boat tours. We loved the Christmas lights & caroling Christmas floats. Will do it again. Avoid coming end of January thru February- they are draining the canal.

Loved the River cruise so much that we went on it two nights in a row. Christmas lights made it even better! You can buy the River cruise without the hop on hop off bus ticket. Buy it near Margaritaville or other locations for about $10-13. I’ve been on hop on hop off bus tours in many cities and this was the first one I thought was a waste of money. Buses were not well maintained so much so that we were forced to get off the first bus and get on another bus because of mechanical issues. Felt bad for my mom who is 83 year old- quite a hassle for her. Tour guides were just ok- positive part is that you get an overview of the city. One day is definitely enough- so glad I didn’t purchase the 48 hour pass.

The river cruise was excellent, with a humorous and informative narration by “Angel”. The bus tour was not as good—the taped narrative (although informative) was not always played at the right time (so you weren’t always sure what was being described). More problematic was that one of the two buses (running every 30-40 minutes—not the publicized 20 minutes) had a problem with the speakers on the top deck not working. Thus the choice was to sit on top and not hear any narrative, or sit below looking thru quite dirty windows. Still, San Antonio is well designed for tourists, and I am glad we booked these tours and enjoyed lunch on the river walk.

Angel was very nice, however, he dropped us off 4.5 blocks from where we started and we had a 83 year old gentleman who is disabled with us and the walk almost killed him.

Trying to determine where to get on the River cruise part of our purchase. We received very unclear and very different answers until the woman in charge spoke with us. Also so many if the bus tour stops were unavailable, including the one closest to the hotel we had chosen for accessibility to the hop-on, hop-off forcing us, at 76, to walk much further than planned. The information on the cruise was much better. The bus information was very poor, the music worse.

'Elizabeth' at the purchase booth was 5 star! She not only was super kind, but very informative. Advised on the best, affordable options for my husband and I...but also provided directions and advised on the best way to proceed around town. She was a blessing!!!
